manufactures of various types of electric motors in the small and
medium scale sectors. Serves as the national point of reference for the
electric motor industry in India. Interacts with Governmental,
technical and standardisation authorities for promoting the growth of
the electric motor industry in India. Coordinates with users of
electric motors, consultants and manufacturers of motor components and
prime movers, in order to bring about product standardisation and
technology upgradation. Disseminates information on the development in
